Sobre Rocío
I am Rocío from Argentina recently settled in Barcelona. I've graduated with an upper second class honours degree in Psychology at the University of Buenos Aires, where I worked in different fields of my discipline such as University Teacher and Researcher, Special Educational Needs Teacher, Evaluator and Coach. In 2016 I moved to the UK where I started my career as a Spanish Teacher in different contexts and kind of students. I did all my teacher training in "Instituto Cervantes"Manchester, where I obtained my Teaching Qualification and DELE examinator Qualification. I also worked as a Community Interpreter between English and Spanish Speakers.
Recently moved to Barcelona, next September I will be starting my Master in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language in UB-Pompeu Fabra.

Living in the UK, I realized how many people are interested in learning Spanish, for a wide variety of reasons, whether it is in support of School, College or University, people interested in Spanish and/or Latinamerica Cultures, Spanish for business or people wanting to top up their conversational Spanish. Since then, I have worked with students of all ages in order to help them discover their potential for speaking Spanish and in the learning process.
Now in Barcelona, I can see that the needs of the students are different, as they are living in a "Spanish Environment, and Spanish is central for their daily lifes.
My approach centres around enjoyment, patience and encouragement. I customize my lessons to the individual needs and strengths of my individual students. My focus is always on those cultural aspects which keep people motivated in order to make our time together enjoyable. In terms of DELE, the approach centres around knowing the structure and inner logic of the exam, practicing many exams and fucusing in those problematic areas.
In all the cases, my greatest joy is watching students succeed and unlock their own curiosity and potential.
