I am a native English speaker and teacher from the UK. I have worked in boarding schools teaching international and native children both English and Spanish, and I worked in a private English language school in Russia teaching adults.
I am a graduate from the University of Bath with a BA (hons) in Spanish, Russian and Politics and A-levels in English literature, language, Economics and History.

I have a passion for learning languages and studied Russian and Spanish at university, so I am very accustomed to the difficulties that can be encountered when learning a foreign language. We can spend hours discussing the intricacies of English grammar, however, I want to focus on encouraging you to become comfortable expressing your opinion on a range of topics. I often find, and I have experienced this myself, that the fear of not sounding like a native speaker and not using colloquial language prevents foreign-language speakers from developing fully and enjoying the language.
So my lessons would focus on introducing a topic of grammar (tenses, sentence structure etc.) then incorporating it in a discussion so it becomes a natural and comfortable part of your conversation or writing. I have found this outline most productive and effective in teaching English, however, everyone learns differently, so I am happy to adapt to your preferred style!
